The Sterling Family is an adventurous homeschool family who sold everything they had in 2020, moved in a renovated 32 foot RV and spent 2 years traveling around the United States visiting all 50 states and 63 National Parks.
Along the way, they began to write a children's book series called The Sterling Spectacles all about their adventures in the National Parks. So far there are 6 books in this series and each book follows a mysterious adventure into a different National Park. Books 7 and 8 will be out later in 2024.
After traveling, the Sterling Family decided it was time to put down deep roots and establish their homestead! Out of this new adventure came a 4 part homeschool curriculum called Hands-On Homesteading!
Now they are taking on their next family adventure:
Hosting a series of online summer camps for kids! The focus: All about learning real life skills and providing some terrific FUN structure for kids this summer!
Meet the REAL Sterling Family!
Hi, I'm Jami Balmet! And I'm actually the real Mrs. Sterling! My husband Jason came up with the Sterling family as he began writing the Sterling Spectacles book series.
The series closely follows our family's real life adventures around the United States but now they are a little bit ahead of us in their homestead plans!
My husband Jason and I run our business full time creating courses, cookbooks, homeschool curriculum, and so much more!
Can I introduce you to the greatest project we've ever worked on and then I'll let you know more about these awesome summer camps coming up (they are one in the same)!
Introducing the Joyful Home App - A one of a kind resource library for the whole family!
In addition to the summer camps, you'll get the eBook & Audiobooks of the Sterling Spectacles Series!
Books #1-6 are here! You can start a fun mysterious series about the National Parks and learn about our great country with a fun, safe family adventure series!
As part of the Joyful Home App, you get access to the ebook and Audiobook versions of all 6 books (and Jason's working on books 7 + 8 as we speak)!
PLUS get access to hundreds of other resources for families!
This is why I say that the Joyful Home App is the greatest project we've ever worked on. Here are just a few reasons we love it so much:

- NEW men's Biblical resources coming in Fall and Winter 2024
